Financial Services Officer
Location: Hoyt Lakes

The primary responsibility of this position is to assist NorthRidge Community Credit Union to live our Core Purpose, 'We encourage learning and understanding of unique financial situations and provide tools for our members to reach their dreams.' In addition, this position will interview, recommend, and authorize approval of consumer credit loans. This position analyzes consumer loan requests based on the members story while adhering to lending policy and authority limits. The focus is to help our members become financially secure.

Responsibilities

  • Interviews and reviews applications for consumer loan business. Explains loan programs and advises members of loan options and requirements.
  • Analyzes member financial condition to include credit history, credit score, collateral, and other financial information to assess the degree of risk and the member’s ability to repay the loan. Makes decisions within loan approval authority or forwards the loan request to higher levels for decision.
  • Completes or directs completion of all loan documents. Ensures documentation is complete and accurate. Completes required reports and records. Meets with member to explain terms and conditions and close the loan.
  • Stays informed of new types of loans, lending trends, and all other financial services and products to better meet members' needs. Ability to step into frontline role as needed.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of lending regulations. Remains in compliance and follows all BSA policy and procedures including the completion of annual BSA training
  • Attends and participates in meetings and committees as required.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
  • One to three years similar experience.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • High degree of confidentiality and discretion. This role requires diplomacy and tact in communication.
  • Must have working knowledge of general office equipment and computer literacy.
Primary work location is Hoyt Lakes, MN. Occasional travel between other branch locations is required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
